01 / THE DESIGN CHALLENGE

How can one platform serve very different reasons to fly?

SKYBUZZ brings equipment rental, aerial photography, events, repairs, and training into one website. The design challenge was to help people enter through their intended task without having to understand the whole drone ecosystem first.

02 / DISCOVERY → DIRECTION

Many needs.
One clear starting point.

Enter through intent.

Survey prompts and affinity notes explored renting, photography, events, repairs, and learning. These needs became distinct routes through the service.

Make the offer legible.

The audit identified problems with filtering, search, navigation, and visual presentation. Service categories and comparison details became central to the structure.

Help people feel ready.

Training resources, requirements, support, and an operating team give a technical service a human and practical context.

Research context and evidence

Discovery connected industry and competitor analysis with a survey and affinity mapping. Survey prompts explored familiarity with drone services, reasons for use, equipment preferences, and interest in training. Affinity notes brought together needs around rentals, event photography, repairs, customization, and learning. Card sorting and user flows translated those themes into a service architecture; wireframes developed the hierarchy of categories, product details, and next actions before the visual identity was applied. The research boards, flow diagrams, and prototype screens make this progression traceable.

03 / THE EXPERIENCE

A service ecosystem.
Designed around the task.

Explore four routes from the original prototype. Each connects a different reason for visiting to the information and action that matter.

Rent / DESIGN INTENT

Find the right equipment.

Consumer, professional, and racing categories make the entry point specific. Requirements, duration, and price belong to the decision—not a separate hunt through the website.

FROM STRUCTURE TO SURFACE

Detail earns
the decision.

SKYBUZZ product detail and comparison concept

Compare before committing.

The product-detail concept puts specifications, rental duration, price, and similar products in the same decision space. The information architecture carries through into the visual hierarchy.

The original visual identity uses Inter, a near-black foundation, and a bright crimson action color. Prices, stock, testimonials, and business figures visible inside the concept screens are prototype content.

04 / REFLECTION

Clarity first.
Then the spectacle.

SKYBUZZ connected a complex service offering to the tasks people came to accomplish. Research themes shaped the information architecture and interface decisions: different reasons to fly receive distinct routes, while comparison and support remain part of one experience.

What I would validate next

The next evaluation would follow people through category selection, equipment comparison, and booking. It would examine whether service requirements are understood at the point of decision and where smaller screens introduce extra effort.
